Therapeutic Modalities
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
IFS is a powerful and compassionate therapy that helps you explore the different parts of yourself—often referred to as “sub-personalities” or “inner family members.” These parts can sometimes be in conflict, leading to emotional distress or feeling stuck. Through IFS, you will learn to connect with your "core self," which holds wisdom, healing, and strength. This method allows you to unburden and heal the parts of yourself that may carry trauma, negative beliefs, or painful emotions, fostering inner harmony and self-compassion.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy primarily used for trauma and PTSD but also effective for anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. It helps your brain process unresolved trauma or distressing memories by using bilateral stimulation, often through eye movements. This process enables your brain to naturally integrate the memories in a way that reduces emotional intensity and allows for healing. EMDR helps you move past experiences that have kept you stuck, enabling you to move forward with greater ease.
Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT)
MBCT combines cognitive behavioral therapy with mindfulness practices to help you break cycles of negative thinking and emotional reactivity. By developing mindful awareness, you can learn to step back from automatic thoughts and emotions, reducing the grip of depression, anxiety, or stress. This modality is especially effective for preventing relapse in people with recurrent depression. MBCT teaches you to be present with yourself in a way that fosters self-compassion and resilience, promoting lasting change in how you relate to your thoughts and feelings.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
KAP is a groundbreaking therapeutic approach that integrates the use of ketamine with psychotherapy to treat conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. Ketamine opens a window of neuroplasticity in the brain, allowing you to access new perspectives and shift entrenched thought patterns. Combined with therapeutic support, this process can lead to deep healing and sustained emotional growth. KAP is not just about symptom relief but about accessing deeper layers of healing and personal transformation through guided therapeutic integration.
Medical safety and appropriateness of KAP
Dr. Mary Hansen and therapist Joe Klein will make sure you receive effective medical and mental health care. We conduct a thorough intake process along with intentional preparation and supportive integration sessions to help you make the most of the window of neuroplasticity that Ketamine may produce for you.
